Griot’s Voice

Griots were the ancient arbiters of all things that dealt with the power of speech. During the golden age of West African Empires, griots served as advisers, confidants and tutors to the royal families.

“Jiridon wo, sodon wo, yeredon de ηogon te. – One may know many things in this life, but a knowledge of self is the most powerful thing a person can possess.”
(Bambara Language West Africa)
